Ms. Flores's commitment to serving others is a core value for her. Her long history of working with and beside families and leaders, for the advancement of our community has not only been an honor but a testament to the fact that this is a value she lives out in every new challenge she takes on.

Ms. Flores is a community-focused leader, has a strong work ethic, and values people. How we take historically distressed communities and create communities of opportunity requires us to embrace a lens of equity to change the systems that prevent healthier, sustainable communities. Equity is not about checking a box. Equity is something we must embrace – a lens we need to look through as policies are being made and as we identify where resources are invested. We cannot address what we don’t fully see and like all important efforts, embracing a lens of equity will require commitment and time.
